F. I. Amadin, A.C. Obienu

ABSTRACT
This research paper seeks to provide further understanding of challenges surrounding acceptance of University E-mail system by undergraduate students in University of Benin. This paper integrates the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model, Technology Awareness and Attitude into a comprehensive model of University E-mail System adoption. To empirically test the model a survey is administered to four hundred and ninety-two (492) University Undergraduate students. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to evaluate relationships between the constructs of modified UTAUT2 model and intention to use. Results from the analysis shows that technology awareness, performance expectancy, social influence, attitude, Hedonic Motivation and facilitating Condition all have a significant impact on University E-mail system intention. Inferences for research and practice are discussed.
